Kid Proof Paint
When you have small children you will always have little hands, balls, trucks, markers, crayons and lots of other things coming into contact with the walls and trim. This creates dings, scuffs, stains and marks on the walls. This is just the way it is with children. The best paint to use when children are in the home is a “kid proof” paint.
Most kids just can’t help themselves. They have this artistic talent that is just waiting to come out when they see a wall that their crayons can help. The best type of paint to use will be either a matte or an eggshell finish because they are stain and scuff resistant and will clean easily.
Benjamin Moore makes a new paint called Aura. The Benjamin Moore Aura is extremely durable. The paint uses new resins and colorants that form a much stronger film that is much more washable and durable. Moreover, unlike regular paint technology, the Aura won’t burnish when you do wash it. Both the matte and eggshell paints types come in any color, so you can decorate in any color scheme you want.
Matte Finish
A matte finish is basically a flat that is scrubability. The matte is great because it is more likely to hide some of the imperfections that may be on your wall surface. This is because matte surfaces do not reflect light.
Eggshell Finish
This paint has a very low sheen which makes it easy to clean. The eggshell was the orginial “scrubable flat” finish, but is still very popular and works extremely well in a bathroom or other wet environments.

I need to paint my sons room but don’t want to do it myself. I’m going to hire a painting contractor in Los Angeles CA.
